The Archetype Assessment

Four archetypes live in every one of us. This shows which is leading, which has turned into its shadow, and which has gone quiet.

Before we start

The four archetypes differ for men and women, so the questions and your results do too.

What this is. A structured self-reflection tool built on the Jungian archetype work of Robert Moore & Douglas Gillette and Toni Wolff. It is not a psychological test, not a clinical instrument, and not a diagnosis. It reflects back what you tell it — which is exactly what makes it useful as a starting point.

Answer for how you have actually been over the last month — not how you intend to be from Monday. There are no good or bad answers; a shadow reading isn't a flaw, it's an archetype working hard in the wrong direction.

Your Archetype Profile

Each archetype is a three-way split: how much of that energy is running in its light expression, how much has turned to shadow, and how much has gone dormant. The three always total 100% within an archetype — this is the balance inside each one, not a score against anyone else.

Shadow and dormancy need opposite responses

A shadow archetype is present but distorted — doing its job badly. You balance it by activating the other three alongside it, not by suppressing it. A dormant archetype is absent — flat, on autopilot — and it wakes on evidence, not insight: the first session, the first prepped meal, the first kept promise. Knowing which of the two you're facing is most of the work.
